Young ones missing their usual fix of holiday fun could find eggs-actly what they are after – on a big neighbourhood Easter egg hunt.

ARTventurers Inverness – a franchise bringing creative art and craft to babies, toddlers and school children – has devised a coronavirus-busting indoor and outdoor challenge.

Parents can print off egg templates for the youngsters to colour in and show off in windows. Then, during daily outings, those discovered can be ticked off.

Organiser Lyndsey Macrae said: “Through our community group on Facebook, we’re promoting as many free activities and challenges for parents and kids as we can.

“We know just what a tough time it is for parents with young children right now. This one, for Easter, they can work in during daily walks. They spot the eggs and tick them off on the printed sheets.

“We hope families will also send them to grandparents, friends and neighbours to put in their windows too and they can get a wee smile and wave as they go by. Our own kids have been a bit sad about not seeing family, so we thought this would be a lovely, safe way to still share some Easter fun.”
