COURT ROUND UP: Charges await Liverpool man, A96 drink driving and unlawful ploughing
It has been another busy week for coverage of cases at Inverness Sheriff Court.
Two Liverpool men have made a private appearance at Inverness Sheriff Court charged with being concerned in the supply of drugs in Inverness.
Kyle Bailey and James Donahue, both aged 24, made no plea to the charges which involved supply of cocaine and possession of cannabis, and breaching special bail conditions not to enter Scotland.
A 44-year-old Nairn man who admitted a charge of drink-driving with more than five times the legal limit of alcohol in his system has been ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid community work.
Christopher Logie, of Balblair Road, previously pleaded guilty at Inverness Sheriff Court to the offence which occurred on the A96 near Delnies on November 10.

An Inverness-shire man has been fined £1575 after admitting he ploughed up a badger's sett on a field outside the city.
Duncan Hepburn, who lives at a farmhouse in Dalcross, had been charged with the offence under the Protection of Badgers Act along with another fellow Dalcross farmer Alan Smart (40).

A 51-year-old drunk shouted and swore at his partner telling her to pack her bags - but it was him who had to leave the house when police arrested him.
Mark Mackay's partner phoned 999 when he became aggressive towards her, uttering derogatory remarks and threats towards her in the early morning of July 3 at a house in Inverness.

An Inverness man now living on the Isle of Lewis has been given the chance by a sheriff to get "his chaotic life" back on track and beat the booze and drugs.
Michael MacBeath (27), appeared for sentence at Inverness Sheriff Court after admitting assaulting his partner but under provocation, which was accepted by prosecutor Emily Hood.

A 51-year-old Inverness man who was abusive towards a receptionist at Raigmore Hospital will be sentenced next month.
Colin MacLeod, of Rowan Road, Inverness appeared before Sheriff Gary Aitken and admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards the woman on September 10, last year by shouting, swearing and acting aggressively towards her.
