AN Inverness street seller facing sex charges will have to wait to December for the case to next appear at the High Court.

Kim Avis (56), who is also known as Gordon, is accused of 25 charges – including the rape of three women and the attempted rape of a 12-year-old.

The case was due to appear in Glasgow today, but an application was accepted for the hearing to be continued until December.

Avis denies all the charges, which cover a period from early 1997 to March 2019.

The case will now call on December 10. He was already remanded in custody after the case first called last November. It was subsequently delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
