THE Inverness Courier was belle of the ball as it reclaimed a prestigious prize at the Scottish Wedding Awards in Glasgow last week.

The newspaper landed the Local Wedding Exhibition of the Year Award for 2020 at a glittering ceremony held at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow.

The annual presentations recognise and reward those within the wedding industry who work towards making a couple’s special day perfect.

Success for the Inverness Courier Highland Wedding Fair follows victory in the same category in 2018 and a highly-commended award in 2019.

Highland News and Media’s events manager, Emma Glass, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to take this award back to the Highlands again in 2020.

“We work really hard to keep improving the standards of the Wedding Fair and to be recognised for this on a national level is amazing.

“There are so many wonderful suppliers in this area and it is a testament to their passion that there were so many local winners recognised in Glasgow.”
