Detectives from Police Scotland's Highland and Islands Police Division hunt an Inverness robbery suspect after an incident in Huntly Street where a 32-year-old man was attacked and had cash stolen

Detectives in Inverness are hunting two suspects after a man was attacked and robbed of cash.

Officers are appealing for information following Tuesday's robbery which was around 3pm in Huntly Street and near to Friars Bridge.

A 32-year-old man was approached by a man and a woman and assaulted – the suspects then stole the cash before fleeing the scene.

The male suspect is white, in his late 30s, with stocky build, and balding while the female suspect was described white, with a gaunt appearance, short, brown hair, a slim build and wearing dark coloured clothing.

Officers are checking relevant CCTV for any additional information which could help the investigation.

Detective Sergeant James Price said: “I am appealing to people who were in the area around the time of this incident to contact us.

"In particular, if any motorists have dash cam devices, please check the footage as it could prove helpful in our enquiries.

"Any small piece of information could prove significant so please do pass it on.”
