A mum who “just loves Halloween” is bringing her joy to others – and helping cut bills as well.

Druid Road resident Suzy Reid (36), who is a full-time carer for two of her children who have autism, said after a good tidy up she came across so many Halloween outfits that have been hardly worn.

So she decided to share them with others for free.

Ms Reid, who supports Helping Hands in the Highlands through her annual garden display for Halloween and an Honesty Sweet Hut in her garden, says she doesn’t mind if people swap, or borrow or take home the outfits.

She said: “I loved Halloween as a kid, and I want to bring that to other people.

“I was gutting out my kid’s room and I came across so many outfits and I thought I could do a Halloween swap shop.

“In the past I am sure that people just bin the outfits, but this year I want to make a space for people to recycle them and swap them.

“Costumes for Halloween or Book Day or whatever cost somewhere between £14 and £20, so I just wanted to take away the worry about finding the money to pay for them.

“If people want to leave a donation for Helping Hands in the Highlands at the same time, I would be grateful - but really I just want people to enjoy Halloween without the financial burden of buying new costumes.”
