Two students in Inverness are self-isolating after they tested positive for coronavirus.

There are two clusters of Covid-19 at student accommodation at the Raigmore Hospital campus in the city.

Contact tracing was carried out by NHS Highland's Health Protection Team following the positive results and close contacts have been advised to also self-isolate.

It is not known how many people were affected in the two clusters.

A spokesman from UHI has confirmed that the self-isolating students were well and added: "The students have not attended any university-operated premises or Inverness College UHI. University staff are providing care and support."

The spokesman said this support included help with food shopping as well as advice on mental health support services.
