Councillors have approved plans to build 94 houses and flats in Kirkhill.

Highland councillors agreed with recommendations by planning officials to give Tulloch Homes’ bid the go-ahead.

The plans include the creation of 26 two-bedroom bungalows, 26 three-bedroom bungalows and 12 two-bedroom houses, among other properties.

The proposals had sparked concern from residents in the area, and there were several objections.

Councillors gave conditional approval and agreed an official would discuss the possibility of an upfront payment in relation to a primary school education contribution with Tulloch Homes.
