Accountancy firm Johnston Carmichael has appointed a new leader of its Inverness office.

Business advisory partner Rosalind Catto will head up the team in Cradlehall Business Park.

She is one of three new office heads appointed as part of the firm’s long-term succession plan, with the others being in Forfar and Aberdeen.

Ms Catto, who has been at Johnston Carmichael since 2009 and became partner in 2017, has taken on the leadership role from Craig MacPherson, who still has responsibilities covering Elgin.

"Construction, property, agriculture and hospitality remain core to our business in Inverness with food and drink, infrastructure and renewables, and technology also thriving, and our sector experience is key to helping clients navigate these challenging times," she said.

"Whatever the future brings, attracting, nurturing and retaining the best talent is vital to our future success. There is no doubt that the way we work has changed and I want to ensure Johnston Carmichael continues to provide varied career opportunities across the Highlands and Moray.

"We are a people business, and our growth is dependent on having staff with the expertise, enthusiasm and knowledge to deliver best-in-class services to our existing and new clients."
