Inverness Eastgate Shopping Centre to host comic and toy fair
Comic book lovers will be spoilt for choice at the Eastgate Shopping Centre this weekend.
The Inverness centre is hosting its first comic and toy fair from 10am until 5pm on Saturday.
Organised by Excelsior Events, the fair at theFalcon Square end of the shopping centre will include meet and greets with popular comic characters, including a 10 foot tall Optimus Prime of Transformers fame (1.30-2.15pm) as well as gamers’ favourites Sonic (11-11.30am) and Mario (12.30-1pm), and superhero Deadpool (3-3.30pm).
Visitors will also have the chance to take part in the Excelsior Cosplay Championship, which trophies up for grabs in under 12 and pro categories.
And the event will include free retro gaming opportunities, allowing those attending a great chance to explore the world of classic games.
Entry is free and visitors will have the chance to browse and buy from a range of traders selling comic books, action figures, crafts, art, plushies, cards, mystery bags, funkos, Lego, anime-related goods and more.
