Volunteers from an Inverness charity cleaned up in Culloden Wood last weekend.
Led by Clarity Walk founder Matt Wallace a group of about ten people picked up eight bags of rubbish in an hour last Sunday.
Mr Wallace, who has set up a number of new initiatives during the lockdown to get people out and about, said: "We did our first Clarity Clean up in Culloden Wood on March 28 to remove unsightly rubbish and improve the environment.
"Throughout the pandemic we noticed a massive increase in litter across nature spots, including cans, packets, plastic and lots of dog poo bags.
"Dropping litter and leaving dog poo bags is highly disrespectful, lazy and ruins our beautiful landscapes.
"We knew something needed to be done and with the support of our sponsors and the funding we have recently received, we are now in a position to dedicate a weekly walk to clean up the environment."
He continued: "With our first clean up we managed to collect eight full bags of rubbish in one hour highlighting the current state of our forests. We have a Cleanup walk every Sunday at 1pm"
