A neighbourhood row led to a man being warned about his behaviour.

Sentence was deferred for good behaviour for six months on Darren Rostock (48) who Inverness Sheriff Court heard shouted abuse at a neighbour in the city’s Rosehaugh Road.

Sheriff Iain Cruickshank heard the complainer had gone to Rostock’s door to complain about loud music, after which Rostock became aggressive and followed him home.

Police were contacted because of the disturbance and Rostock admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.

Solicitor Willie Young said Rostock had lived at the address for 16 years and the complainer had been there for two years.

He said Rostock had been disturbed by the complainer carrying out car repairs and played loud music to drown out the noise.

After Rostock’s previous appearance in court his neighbour had called on him to “bury the hatchet”.
