There will be a summer market at Inverness Creative Academy this weekend.

Wasps’ Summer Artist and Makers Market will be the third such event at the venue since the initial phase of the creative hub opened in 2018, and the first since its completion and official opening earlier this year.

The event brings together the work of more than 25 artists and makers.

Among those participating are Wasps’ tenants: Clare Blois, photographer Evija Laivina and painter Cecelia Mann, together with Glasgow-based SaltSpace Cooperative, Inverness illustrator Megan Alexander and jewellery maker Rhiannon MacGillivray.

A spokesman said: “The market is expected to welcome hundreds of visitors from across Inverness and the Highlands through its doors over the weekend, with purchases made supporting the creative practice of the participating independent creators.”

The market at Inverness Creative Academy runs from 10am-4pm this Saturday and Sunday. There is no charge for entry.
