A road near Inverness city centre is to be closed for resurfacing work by Highland Council.

Burnett Road will be closed between its junction with Harbour Road and its junction with Walker Road from 6pm on Tuesday until 6am on Wednesday morning.

It will close again for the same time between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

The work is to be carried out by Highland Council and has been timetabled following consultation with Police Scotland, which has a police station in Burnett Road.

A dayshift will also be required in order to complete the works.

This will take place on Saturday, October 24 between 8am and 6pm.

A diversion will be in place for drivers, using Walker Road.
