INVERNESS Chamber of Commerce helped spread the Christmas cheer at its annual seasonal charity lunch on Friday.

Representatives of 85 member businesses and their guests gathered in the newly refurbished Ness Suite of the Glen Mhor Hotel for the chamber’s final event of its busy 2019 business calendar.

The lunch also provided an opportunity to raise money for Barnardo’s Works, which is committed to providing young people with information, training and real experiences that will help them progress into sustainable employment or further education.

Prizes on offer included a luxury hamper donated by law firm Macleod and MacCallum, a limited edition bottle of CÙ BÒcan single malt donated by Tomatin and a £100 voucher donated by Good Highland Food.

These and other contributions helped raise over £1200 for the charity.

Before guests were served a festive lunch, John Harvey McDonough, chief executive of Speyside Distillers Co Ltd shared many entertaining stories of his experiences both at home and overseas on his journey to build a coveted luxury brand now achieving significant international success.
