Inverness children take over key roles at Cradlehall Primary School for World Children's Day
PUPILS took control at an Inverness school as they celebrated World Children’s Day.
Youngsters at Cradlehall Primary were given the opportunity to run some lessons, with two pupils taking over the head teacher’s role for an hour.
Depute head teacher Vivienne Goodall said: “The day went very well, the school ambassadors organised a presentation that they delivered to different classes on how the UN Convention on the Rights of the Children came to be, it’s really important for the children to know about that.
“Two pupils were drawn to take over the role of the head teacher and during the hour they had a look at some timetables to make sure it matched the coverage of the curriculum.”
Pupils from all classes were involved in the making of themed displays.
