The Sunnyside is up as children leave out cute notes for bin lorry crew working around Inverness in the coronavirus pandemic

Children in Sunnyside, Culloden Moor are bringing happiness to others by leaving a note out for those people who are continuing to carry out essential work around the area.

The Marple family who live at Sunnyside decided to put their morning to good use and thank the people who are working on the bin lorry.

Refuse collectors are among a number of jobs that are considered essential by Highland Council.

Dad, Adrian Marple who is at home with his kids, said: "My children Ben (9) and Abigail (5) put thank you notes our for bin collectors."

The children who were already home schooled are not seeing much difference to their day.

Mr Marple continued: "The children felt the bin workers were really happy to see them, and give them a wave and s thumbs up from the behind their windows."
