Children injured in accident near Culloden Academy





Two children were injured and taken to Raigmore Hospital after a two car crash near Culloden Academy today.

Police, fire service and two ambulances went to Keppoch Road, Culloden after the alarm was raised shortly before 11am.

The extent of the injuries suffered by the children was not clear, although police understood neither was seriously hurt.

A fire service spokeswoman said they were involved only in making the area safe following the collision between a Vauxhall Zafira people carrier and a Volvo V70.

There was no information available on what cars the children were travelling in when the collision occurred at a junction near Culloden Academy.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 10.55 today to attend a road traffic collision on Keppoch Road, Culloden.

“We dispatched two ambulances to the scene.Two patients, both children, were transported to Raigmore Hospital.”
