TWO charity groups have benefited from a kind-hearted fundraising drive by a Highland care organisation.

The Care and Learning Alliance (CALA) split almost £3000 between Inverness-based suicide prevention charity Mikeysline and children’s hospital care group The Archie Foundation.

Receiving £1425 each, the money was raised from a “lovefromCALA” day that saw staff, parents and children at its various childcare groups cycling, baking, walking, running, jumping and dancing.

Debbie Campbell, office manager for CALA and one of the key organisers of the event said: “We will definitely be making this an annual event.

“The bar has been set very high but we will rise to the challenge again next year!”
