Child’s play as Frankie and Lola's centre in Inverness reopens following the easing of coronavirus restrictions as the Highlands moved from level two to level one tomorrow

An Inverness soft play centre is looking forward to being able to reopen from tomorrow with the easing of coronavirus restrictions.
The move follows First Minister Nicola Sturgeon’s announcement that the Highland region will move from level two to level one along with a number of other areas in mainland Scotland.
Staff at Frankie and Lola’s, in Ivanhoe Avenue, were this week busily getting the building ready to welcome back customers and were looking forward to being back in business.
Manager Rosie Strachan said the news had been a “massive relief” as they had been closed since December.
She said: “We obviously got to reopen last year, after being closed for seven months, and we only got to open until Christmas Eve. So this is a huge relief for all of us – for the staff and the business.”
The same safety measures which were put in place when they were last open will be in place.
She added: “The message we put out at Frankie and Lola’s is the number one priority is the safety of our staff and customers. We were already very on top of what we needed to do.
“We can’t wait to open – a lot of our staff members have kids of their own and, even doing the school run, we are bombarded with questions about when it will open again. People can’t wait to get back in.”
However not all soft play centres are planning to reopen so soon and are adopting a more cautious approach.
In a Facebook post The Play Zone, at Inshes Retail Park, announced it will remain closed for the time being.
The post said: “This has been a very difficult decision to make but we believe it to be the right thing to do at the moment.
“We will keep you updated if things change and of course we will be delighted to welcome you all back.”
