Lady Cawdor is set to take on Cawdor Tavern after its proprietors have stepped down after 30 years.

Cawdor Castle Ltd has now taken ownership of the country pub and restaurant in the village.

Posting on social media, Cawdor Castle announced: “Cawdor Tavern has been run by Christine, Norman and their team for the last 30 years.

“During this time, they have earned a solid reputation for hearty, homemade meals served by friendly staff in a cosy, traditional setting. We will strive to maintain their high standards.

“Cawdor Tavern will now close for a couple of days, re-opening for business as usual from 5pm on Friday December 6. We welcome any bookings or queries at info@cawdorcastle.com, however, please do bear with us at this time to get back to you.

“Further updates will be shared in due course - we look forward to sharing this exciting new chapter with you!”
