Cash stolen in raid on Inverness business

Money was taken in a raid on an Inverness dry cleaner earlier today.

Copperfields Cleaners in Greig Street was broken into at around 3.30am.

Police are appealing for assistance in an investigation into the incident.

Detective Constable Jack Weatherall said: "I would ask that anyone who may have been in the Greig Street or city centre area of Inverness in the early hours of Sunday to get in touch with us if they saw or heard anything suspicious.

"Callers can use the 101 number and should quote the reference number 0930 24 November 2019. Callers who wish to pass on information and remain anonymous can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
