Inspectors said that most of the comments they received from questionnaires and chatting to people were very encouraging about the service.

There were also positive comments about the staff, stating that they were “friendly, have time to talk with you, were polite, helpful”.

Inspectors added: “People described the environment as being bright, airy and clean and told us that the setting was excellent, and felt like a large family home.”

It received a good rating for supporting residents’ wellbeing and for care and support planning.

Inspectors said: “We saw that staff worked well to create a warm and friendly atmosphere.

“People seemed relaxed and at home, and we saw visitors being welcomed and encouraged to spend time comfortably with their friends or relatives. We were able to see that people had the opportunity to get to know the staff team, and we observed that in the main, staff interacted positively.

“We observed staff treating people with kindness and compassion which provided encouragement, reassurance and helped people to feel included. People looked well cared for, and it was evident that staff took the necessary time to support people with their grooming and appearance.”
