A care home in Inverness is throwing open its doors to the local community for an afternoon of tea, cake and entertainment.

Highview in Inverness is laying on the spread for all interested members of the public on Saturday, January 18, between 10am and 4pm.

Guests will be able to savour home-made cream cakes prepared by Highview’s head chef, while also meeting the care home team and taking a tour of recently-refurbished premises.

Highview general manager Elsbeth Russell said: “I’m excited about welcoming new visitors and existing friends of the home to our open day.

"Looking for care can be a little bit daunting, but our team will do all we can to provide all of our guests with the guidance and support they may need, and answer all of their questions, big or small.

“Our open day will be a great chance to enjoy some delightful entertainment in a homely and friendly setting.”

The Highview care home is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, which supports around 11,000 residents in 200 homes across the country.

Highview provides nursing care and dementia care for 77 residents, from respite to longer-term care.
