LIFESAVERS on Loch Ness have had a busy couple of days after receiving three calls.

On Tuesday the RNLI's lifeboat crew were alerted twice – the first to a call that was cancelled before they needed to launch, and the second in the evening to a cruiser with engine trouble.

And then on Wednesday, they were called into action again at 3.23pm after receiving word of a vessel having trouble in Loch Dochfour.

The crew were also called into action on Wednesday afternoon when a vessel began dragging its anchor in Loch Dochfour. Picture: RNLI.

An RNLI spokesman said: "It’s been a busy couple of days here!

"Yesterday we had a cancelled launch in the afternoon, followed by a Shout in the evening.

"The casualty had encountered some engine trouble, so we were tasked to shadow them back to their mooring at Dochgarroch.

"Today we were called to a vessel that was dragging its anchor in Loch Dochfour.

"Since the Coastguard couldn’t get in touch with the owner, we set up an alongside tow, and escorted the vessel to safety at Dochgarroch.

"Phew!!"
