Buses to be re-routed during closure of Academy Street in Inverness

Buses will be rerouted in Inverness city centre to allow for maintenance work on Academy Street next weekend.
From 8am on Saturday, September 5 until 6pm on Sunday, September 6 services 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 14, 16, 17, 28, 49, 917 and 919 will following a diverted route due to the closure of Academy Street between its junction with Margaret Street and the Ironworks on Chapel Street.
A spokeswoman for Stagecoach Highland said: "For services 1, 2, 3, 6, 7 and 8 services leaving the bus station will turn left onto Strothers Lane, continuing onto Railway Terrace and Rose Street, taking the second exit at the roundabout to continue on Rose Street, taking the first exit at the roundabout onto A82, taking the first exit at the roundabout onto Chapel Street where services will resume the normal route.
"Services heading to the bus station will follow the same route in reverse."
She continued: "For services 14, 16, 17, 28, 49 , 917 and 919, buses leaving the bus station will turn left onto Margaret Street, turning left onto Academy Street, turning left onto Strothers Lane continuing onto Railway Terrace and Rose Street, taking the second exit at the roundabout to continue on Rose Street, taking the first exit at the roundabout onto A82, taking the first exit at the roundabout onto Chapel Street where services will resume the normal route.
"Services heading to the bus station will follow the same route in reverse."
