Scottish Water engineers on site after burst main interrupts supplies in some IV2 postcodes in Errogie, Inverness-shire

A BURST water main was causing disruption to supplies in some IV2 postcodes this evening.

Scottish Water has confirmed that is had engineers on site after a pipe burst in the Errogie area.

It estimates repairs to be completed by 8.30pm.

A spokesman said: "We are currently repairing a burst water pipe in Errogie which is causing the interruption to the water supply for customers in the IV2 area of Inverness.

"The water supply will gradually return to normal for customers once the repair has been completed. The estimated time for repairs to be completed is around 8.30pm this evening.

"While we carry out the repair please be aware that you may experience no water supply, low / intermittent pressure or discoloured water.

"At present we expect to complete the repair in a timeframe which means we do not plan to provide bottled at distribution locations.
