Inverness brothers-at-war sees one end up in hospital with fractured skull
A brothers-at-war story unfolded at Inverness Sheriff Court when two siblings fought over the care of their dementia suffering mother and one ended up in hospital with a fractured skull.
Trevor Walker, of Oldtown Road, Inverness had been looking after his ill parent at his home before his sister took over, fiscal depute Karen Poke told Sheriff Sara Matheson.

But when Mrs Walker was dropped off by taxi with some clothing at Steven Walker's property in Milton of Culloden South on May 6 last year, it resulted in an argument and a scuffle there between the two Walker brothers.
Ms Poke told the court: "Steven Walker had wanted to know what was happening and phoned the sister as their mother had previously stayed with Trevor Walker.
"Trevor Walker then went round to speak to Steven but his behaviour escalated, and he grabbed Steven by the body. The two then went over a sofa and there was a scuffle.
"Others were there and a woman filmed it on her phone but the accused slapped her on the face as he tried to take it away from her.
"The altercation carried on into the garden and the police were called."
Walker's lawyer, Willie Young expanded on the fracas and revealed: "There were some concerns over the mother's welfare and finances.
"When Mrs Walker was moved after a sister had taken over some of the care, Trevor Walker went round to Steven's house to see what was happening.
"A group of individuals were there and it was less than pleasant for my client who was told to f*** off. He was then assaulted by one of the group, sustained a nasty ear injury and a fracture to his skull. Then one of them spat on his face."
Walker (56) admitted threatening behaviour and assaulting the woman and was sentenced to 90 hours of unpaid community work as an alternative to a fine.
Sheriff Matheson told him: "This is a very sorry state of affairs. The last thing your mother needs is you and your brother fighting."
