Police say a man was rushed to hospital this afternoon following reports of a disturbance in Inverness.

Officers were called out shortly before 1.30pm to Esk Road in the Hilton area.

A police spokesman tonight confirmed a 31-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital.

His condition is not known

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Officers were called to a report of a disturbance on Esk Road in the Hilton area of Inverness around 1.25pm on Thursday, July 28.

“A 31-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital.
