BREAKING: Kiltearn Primary school in Evanton evacuated after biomass unit fire

An Easter Ross primary school has been evacuated after a fire in the biomass unit.

Kiltearn Primary in Evanton saw an emergency evacuation just after 1pm, with all children and staff reported to be safe and accounted for.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called out just after 1.20pm and are at the scene.

A post on the school’s Facebook page stated that everyone was in the sports hall and that staff does not have access to school phones at the time of writing.
