Culloden Battlefield road B9006 closed following two-car crash at nearby Leanach, Police Scotland confirms; Highland motorists being advised to find alternative routes
Emergency services are on the scene after a two-car crash closed the B9006 Inverness-Croy road on Thursday afternoon.
Confirming the closure in a short statement issued just before 2pm, Police Scotland said: “The B9006 (Culloden Muir road) is currently closed between Newlands of Culloden and Westhill due to a collision near Leanach. Please seek alternative routes.”
The crash, is understood to have occurred at around 1.45pm, occurred at the Leanach crossroads.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service also confirmed it has been called to the scene.
It said it received the call at 1.53pm and had dispatched two fire engines from Inverness.
The two cars were black and silver. There was no immediate word as to whether anyone was injured.
