A9 closed southbound near Carrbridge as emergency services attend ‘multi-vehicle’ accident

A ‘multi-vehicle accident’ is blocking the A9 just north of Carrbridge.

Emergency services are at the scene and the road is said to be closed in a southbound direction.

UPDATE: A9 re-opens after crash

It is not yet known if there are any casualties from the collision, thought to involve three vehicles.

Police, paramedics and fire crews are at the scene.

The accident was first reported just after 6pm.

There is a heavy build-up of traffic near the junction with the connecting A938.

Emergency services have been contacted for more information.
