A9 reopens after breakdown blocks route between Inverness and Cromarty Bridge for hour and a half





The A9 was blocked by a broken down lorry between Inverness and the Cromarty Bridge for an hour and a half this evening.

Traffic Scotland say the carriageway is partially restricted in both directions following the incident near Culbokie on the Black Isle.

The incident was first reported at about 5.44pm, with the road reopened by 7.14 pm.

A Traffic Scotland spokesman said: “All lanes now running in both directions following the earlier breakdown

“Traffic in the area is moving well tonight.”
