Inverness betting shop site in Hilton set for conversion into office space for Highland Council’s housing team
A former betting shop looks set to be converted into office space for Highland Council.
Plans have been lodged for a change of use of the vacant bookmakers, which is part of the Hilton Community Centre building in Oldtown Road. Inverness.
If approved the application by Highland Council would see the site's interior partition and doors removed.
New partitions would then be installed to split the interior into three distinct parts, the main office space, a separate meeting room, and a staff room with toilet facilities.
Externally, a new ramp into the entrance would be installed to make the office disability friendly, and two new windows would be punched into the same wall to provide natural light within the building.
Documents included with the application state that the plan is for the office space to be used by Highland Council’s housing team.
