Body found in woodland close to Munlochy on the Black Isle man is that of missing man, Police Scotland confirm

A BODY has been found in woodland in the search for a man posted missing on the Black Isle yesterday.

Police Scotland this morning confirmed it to be that of Dean Lockhart (36) who had been posted missing from Munlochy yesterday.

A spokesman said: "Police Scotland can confirm that, around 4pm on Wednesday, September 22, the body of a man was discovered in woodland near to Munlochy.

"The deceased has been formally identified as 36-year-old Dean Lockhart, who had been reported missing from the area.

"There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

"The media and members of the public are thanked for their support during the investigation."
