Boarded up windows alarm fans of Inverness nightspot, but owners give reassurance

Botanics House still open for business say owners.
Botanics House still open for business say owners.

An Inverness city centre live music venue and nightclub has reassured fans that it is still open for business.

There was some concern when it was noticed that the ground floor windows of The Botanic House in Castle Street were boarded up.

The premises has been a nightspot for decades now, having formerly been Mr G’s nightclub.

Apparently there is a more obvious answer regarding the boarded up windows - the management are waiting for new ones to be installed.

A spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that there is no change with regards to the operations of the Botanic House. The site is just having new windows fitted to the ground floor.”

With capacity for 600 revellers, the Botanic House claims to be the biggest music venue in the Highlands, hosting a mix of amazing live music from bands, DJs, and dance floor fillers.

There are regular ticketed events playing house, country, pop, rock and soul.

Early bird tickets are already sold out for the venue’s next Kickin’ It Country Night on Saturday August 3, and fans are urged to be quick in booking the regular passes.
