THE operators of a Black Isle camp site have offered assurances to the local community over their reopening plans for next week.

In line with Scottish Government guidance to the tourism and hospitality trade, Fortrose Bay Camp Site is scheduled to reopen on July 15.

Operators Rachel and Mike Brown said they are aware that "responsible tourism is at the core of working with local communities" and that is "crucial as we look to rebuild a successful local tourism industry which allows locals and visitors to coexist and ensure the Scottish welcome is at the heart of the visitor experience".

They said: "We’d like to allay any worries by reassuring you that here at Fortrose Bay Camp Site, along with all the other tourism providers on the Black Isle, we are taking advice from the Scottish Government, Visit Scotland and the Black isle Tourism Team to reopening safely and protect the local community.

"We reopen on July 15 and all campers are self-contained so won’t be using the communal toilet blocks. Any tents are also required to bring a toilet tent and chemical toilet."

They invite anyone with concerns to approach them for information.
