Fortrose Cafe on Black Isle to close temporarily after 'possible' positive Covid-19 test

A SECOND Black Isle eatery has today announced its temporary closure following a Covid-19 alert.

Fortrose Cafe announced it will not be open on Wednesday or Thursday of this week due a "possible positive Covid reading".

The popular High Street restaurant said: "It sometimes feels like this is a never-ending nightmare...so, we will not be open on Wednesday or Thursday this week due to a possible positive Covid reading.

"Once results from our PCR tests come back (hopefully all negative), we will be reopen.

"Apologies for any inconvenience caused. The health and wellbeing of our team and of our customers must come first."

Last week it week it was forced to close for a spell because of a power cut.

Several customers have taken to Facebook to voice their support and commend the venue for taking the right course of action.

One posted: "Really feel for you. Fingers crossed all will be well and you can re-open on Friday. So frustrating. You're to be commended for dealing with it all. See you soon for Sunday breakfast!"

Earlier today, Sutor Creek in Cromarty said it was closing temporarily after a member of staff tested positive.
