Beauly man smashes council house windows and door as birthday party turns nasty
A birthday party turned nasty when a 31-year-old joiner returned home drunk with his partner only to smash windows in the property.
Inverness Sheriff Court heard that Gary Marshall of Priory Court, Beauly had been out for a meal first before attending the social event on the night of January 28 this year.

He went back to her property in Orchard Park but his partner had to leave due to his behaviour.
Fiscal depute Victoria Silver said: "Neighbours saw him holding a big stick. He smashed three windows and a glass interior door before police were called."
Marshall admitted maliciously damaging the council house.
Sheriff Nigel Cooke was told by Ms Silver: "They were and still are a couple."
Defending, John MacColl said: "He had been badly affected by alcohol. There is no lasting ill will."
Marshall was fined £290.
