Works on Crubenmore stretch from Dalwhinnie to Kingussie will replace safety barriers
BEAR Scotland are set to carry out road safety improvements on the A9 at Crubenmore, between Dalwhinnie and Kingussie.
The improvements will involve replacing safety barriers in the central reserve and will take place from Monday, August 26 to Friday, September 27.
“In order to protect road users and workers, the outside lane will be closed in both directions 24 hours a day for the duration of the works,” said Ian Stewart, the company’s north west rep.
On behalf of Transport Scotland, BEAR has been working with all relevant stakeholders to inform them of the project and share information about the traffic management arrangements that will be in place.
“These new safety barriers will help to protect drivers. We understand that road works can be frustrating for road users, and we thank the public for their patience in advance. We will be working hard to complete the project as quickly and safely as possible.
“Please plan your journey in advance, particularly if travelling between Dalwhinnie and Kingussie.”
