The Inverness branch of DIY giant B&Q has donated flowers to Highland Hospice.

The move came after the store was advised to close its garden centre during the current coronavirus pandemic.

Taking to Facebook a hospice spokesperson said: "With B&Q Inverness closing its doors to customers for a while, they were left with lots of extra flowers.

"When staff member Kenneth Carr was deciding what to do with them, he very kindly thought of us!

"Margaret, Gemma and Dr Mairead from our clinical team were delighted to meet Kenneth and accept these beautiful blooms.

"It's the perfect way to welcome the spring season to the hospice!

"Thank you to Kenneth and B&Q for this generous donation."
