Inverness-Edinburgh train stopped at Aviemore after ‘incident’

Passengers have had to leave the train at Aviemore following an ‘operational incident’

Crowds are lining the platform as they wait for a resolution to the problem, which ScotRail has described as ‘minor’.

But a notice has been posted warning of disruptions until at least 2pm today.

“Train services between Inverness and Edinburgh may me delayed or revised,” the crowds are being advised.

The 10.50 from Inverness had to be terminated at Aviemore because of the incident.

“As we are currently unable to provide alternative transport at present, passengers may wish to consider making their own arrangements.”

More on this as details become clear.
