OWNERS of antiques and family treasures can discover what they are really worth next month as one of the world’s oldest and largest auctioneers comes to the Highlands.

International auction house Bonhams is staging two valuation days, the first at Fort George near Ardersier on Tuesday, March 10 and the second the following day at Attadale House in Lochcarron, both from 10 am until 2pm.

Valuations cost £5 per item or £10 for three, with charitable donations at Fort George going to the Highlanders Museum, with Highland Hospice benefitting at Lochcarron.

The Bonhams Scotland team will be joined by London specialists Chris Allen (arms and armour), William Threllfall (sporting guns), John Millenstead (coins and medals). Members of the public are encouraged to bring all things Scottish: paintings, photographs, works of art, silver, jewellery, books, furniture, ceramics, glass and arms & armour.
