Ashers, the Nairn-based bakers, is offering a free home delivery service on selected products to support housebound local communities across the region during the coronavirus outbreak.

The firm will deliver within three miles of the town centres of Lossiemouth, Elgin and Forres on Mondays and Thursdays, Nairn and Auldearn on Tuesdays and Fridays and Inverness on Wednesdays and Saturdays with a minimum order value of £9.

Ashers has stepped up production of core bakery products since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak to support the local community who may not be able to get to the shops or possibly can’t get what they want elsewhere.

Alister Asher said “We decided to close our cafés and some shops to comply with social distancing. George and I would like to thank our valued staff who are working extra hard to keep up supply and our loyal customers who have been delighted that we are delivering to them at these difficult times.”

Popular Ashers' products include: rolls, softies and butteries, sliced bread, pancakes and scones, pies and savouries, cakes, oatcakes and biscuits.

Customers can order online and find full details here or call the Nairn bakery on 01667 453206.
