The historic Boleskine House by Loch Ness will be on camera round the clock, if a funding bid is successful.
After two major fires that devastated the Loch Ness-side mansion in 2015 and 2019 owners of the property, the Boleskine House Foundation, have made a bid to raise cash to fit 10 CCTV cameras at the site, providing extra security.
Boleskine House trustee Kyra Readdy made a plea to protect the house and estate which was the former home of celebrated occultist Aleister Crowley and Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page.
Mrs Readdy said: “It is one year since the fire started by an arsonist, which burnt down the remainder of Boleskine House.
“We are fundraising to pay for a further 10 security cameras to live stream footage 24/7.
“Please donate to help us protect the estate.”
Work on the house to bring it back into use as a tourist attraction by early 2022, is now well underway after planning consents were given last month.
A concrete render has been removed from the house, revealing its original granite structure, and chimney pots on the roof of the house have also been restored.
