Appeal following break-ins at The Gateway from hair and beauty business units in Inverness

City police appeal for information after "a number of businesses" were targeted in overnight break ins.

Hair and beauty business had cash of around £500 stolen from premises on Millburn Road.

The break-ins happened between 7.20pm on Monday August 2, and 9.30am on Tuesday August 3, at business centre The Gateway.

Around £400 to £500 in cash was taken along with numerous items worth around £500 from businesses, including Heather’s Hair Design, House of Beauty and Too Glam Beauty.

Detective Constable Gary Hines, of Inverness CID, said: “A number of businesses have been entered overnight and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious.

“If you can help, please contact us on 101, quoting incident 0753 of Tuesday, 3 August, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
