The children's ward at Raigmore Hospital is appealing for baby monitors to enable doctors and nurses to communicate with patients and families.

The Facebook appeal has been made by Victoria Franklin via a group called Community Kindness Kirkhill, Kiltarlity, Beauly, Muir of Ord.

In her post she said it was in an effort to save on the use of much-needed items of personal protection equipment (PPE) during the coronavirus pandemic.

She said the equipment would allow brief conversations and added: "Ideally we are looking for modern monitors that allow two-way communication. If anyone has a baby monitor that they could donate, please drop off at the Kirkhill Community Centre and I can take them in or you could drop into the children's ward."
