ATTEMPTS are being made to reunite Inverness High School’s class of ’74.

Nostalgia will be in the air before Christmas when classmates who were in their first year in 1974 or arrived in the school year thereafter meet up.

Organisers are still trying to track down a good number of classmates, including some living in the Highlands, but have one attending from Adelaide in Australia.

It will be the first time in 16 years the group have re-assembled.

Inverness driving instructor David Sutherland, one of the organisers, said: “When we met in 2003, some 40-50 of us managed to make it along. There will be a few more grey hairs since then, but it would be great if as many as possible can make it along to the Caley Thistle social club on December 14.

“It has been challenging in recent weeks trying to track down our old pals but we are making progress.”

Anyone keen to attend should contact Mr Sutherland on 07814 851332 or Helena Turnbull on 07999 574575.
