Police are appealing for witnesses following after a man was seen behaving indecently at the town's East Beach.

The incident happened around 2.30pm yesterday on the beach, close to the Lochloy Holiday Park.

The man is described as being around 60-years-old, 5ft 6in and of medium build.

He was wearing a baseball cap, blue bomber-style jacket and dark blue jogging bottoms.

Detective Constable Ross Cooper said: "The man did not approach anybody else and did not make physical contact with anyone.

"However, we are taking this report very seriously and will be carrying out thorough enquiries to identify this man.

"I would urge anyone who was on Nairn beach on Wednesday afternoon and may have seen someone matching this man's description to come forward.

"Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference NM793/19, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
