Police are investigating an incident involving a group of people near the junction with Queen Street.

The disturbance occurred around 7.15pm on Monday.

It is believed there were several members of the public in the area at the time who may have witnessed what happened and officers are appealing to people to come forward if they haven't already spoken to police.

Constable Jonathan Hill said: "The disturbance involved a small number of individuals and lasted only a short period of time.

"No one was seriously injured as a result but this is an unusual incident for Nairn and we working to identify those responsible.

"If anyone has information regarding this incident, I would be grateful if they would call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number NM882/19, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
